Quick-start custom level

I remember reading somewhere that you could test a level without having to start up Amnesia and go to the custom story section, but now that I wanted to test it I can't remember where the instructions were... I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction. Perhaps we can launch a mod using arguments to the amnesia.exe? It would be fantastic if we could do for instance "amnesia.exe cust=NameOfCustFolder", which means we could create our own shortcuts and whatnot.
