boxlight falloff

boxlight falloff

It seems that whatever i try, i can't have a good falloff effect around the borders of the boxlight, it looks like any i try gives the same to much hard transition. I even created one within photoshop with a greater falloff but its the same. I also played with the alpha of the color, thinking it was maybe the problem, but it looks like its not. Any help? Thanks.
