Full conversion mods are installed differently than custom stories. CSs are simply placed in that folder. Mods are generally put into the root folder of Amnesia, then launched via their own .bat file (on Windows). They pass an argument to Amnesia.exe which tells it to start from a different folder (the mod folder instead of the normal one). This is why mods are different.

If you check the folder of your download and it contains a file called "custom_story_settings.cfg" then it's a custom story. It if contains a "config" folder, it's a mod.
