[SOLVED] Could not load main config file?

im not the smartest person when it comes to computers. so if i mess up a term forgive me in advance.

okay, so. I bought the game off steam two or three days ago and began playing. i played and played then finally stopped, saved, and exited. whenever i click on the desktop shortcut or load it up through steam, it gives me an error message which says Could not load main config file: config/default_main_settings.cfg. i have uninstalled and reinstalled, to no avail. all help would be appriciated.
Some computer specs that may or may not be relevant:
2.26 GHz Intel core 2 duo processor
With a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M (i think thats the video card or something((like i said, im not the best at this)))
