Solved: 8 Years, 2 Months ago Black plague crashes!!!

The game was working just fine yesterday. I went to continue today and i get this black box crash report. When i hit "Continue story" it will start loading then crash to the desktop with this error:

penumbra.exe cause an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module penumbra.exe at 001B:004C6BEB

Ive tried installing the patch, tried the things from this thread. Those do not work. I have also tried updating my drivers, that doesn't work either.

Do i have to uninstall the game and start all over?

Overture loads up fine. So it appears to only be Black Plague. If i do have to reinstall it, is there anyway to save my saved games so i don't have to start all over? Im not sure i can relive the screams again... Tongue

EDIT: I am using a retail copy of the Collection if that is of any other help in finding a resolution.
