If I recall, it was a bunch of screaming and loud rumbles... lots of ruckus. The doors not having damage is probably not a huge issue, though. It looks like the creature came out of that hole, through the doors, took the man, and dragged him back into the hole. Either a smaller worm or some new creature perhaps. I don't think the man crawled into the hole on his own accord.
