Yes, normally you'll want something outside at the horizon since you don't want the player to be able to run off the map. This works pretty well for covering up the "ground" at the edges of the cubemap.

I appreciate this! It's a pain to download everything, I tried searching for some cubemaps but there weren't many. This helps a lot of people out greatly I'm sure.

I hope so. There's plenty of cubemap textures online but not many in a usable format. Oh, and I'm working on your boat as we speak. So far, so good.
