Thanks Robo, just what I needed. I'll try all of what you explained! Also, about the strut, it's architecture is far more complicated than it looks - I wouldn't worry too much about that, but I might post a screeny showing the entire way down.

I really don't see why I need to do this. Filling a room up with that kind of stuff shouldn't be done if there's no reason for it to be that messy. I don't need critique about our design decisions, but rather about our way of approaching them.

No. There is two windows and some bookshelves are the same model. Apart from this and the chairs by the window there's really no more similarity to the maps. Lighting is different, roof and floor and carpets is different, detail is different. The room isn't even the same size, in fact far from the same scale. I see your point of view but really, go into the FG map. It's really not that similar.
