RE: The Subconscious Trials

so i ended up typing up a massive thing for voice acting auditions on another forum and i dont want to do that again here so have a copy and paste
Spoiler below!

Characters (both male):

Name: Dr. Happerford
Age: Late 40s
Bio: Due to trauma earlier in his life, he was basically destroyed mentally and as a result is incredibly mentally unstable and unpredictable; to cover this up he puts on a faux-happy go lucky attitude most of the time. Very manipulative, doesn't care about the well being of others and we'll do what's necessary to reach his goals. While he manages to stay well composed most of the time if he feels he is losing control or power over a situation it can cause him to snap into a fit of rage and anger, though this is just a way of compensating for the fact that he's been undermined his entire life. It's a sort fake big guy act, he presents himself as being very authoritative but when he loses authority he can't control himself. While he is most definitely the main villain of the mod and made out to be a very messed up individual, you should be able to feel some sliver of remorse for him since he only became such a monster because of constant rejection from others and being ignored.
Audition Line 1:"Hey, sorry about all the formality there. It's just regulation, you know? Anyways, now that that's all over we get to get to the real fun. We're gonna break new ground together Mr. Torrence, I know you can't know now but this, all of this, it's gonna change everything." (should be neutral/content)
Audition Line 2:"You listen here I know more about you than you could imagine, if you don't get this money then you, your wife, and your daughter will all die from starvation within the next three weeks. You're a family man, yes? I'd suggest if you want to even have a family after this that you stop talking and return to testing." (He's the dominant figure in this scene so he still should sound in control yet angry)
Audition Line 3:"No no no, this isn't happening again. This can't be happening again. I can reason with him, yes, I'll give him more money. I'll just- shit, uhm." (Should sound very panicked and anxious)
Audition Line 4:"You little shit, you ruined this entire operation! Do you understand how big this could have been? This would have changed the entire world as we know it, but you have to come in here and fuck it all up. Argh, you good for nothing piece of shit, STAY THE FUCK OUT OF MY THOUGHTS!" (He's lost control in this scene and as a result should sound both panicked and seething with rage)

Name: Subject F28
Age: Late 40s
Bio: He has a lot of history with Dr. Happerford and had his life ruined by him. He was one of the few people that crossed Dr. Happerford and actually almost succeeded in stopping his research, and as a result Dr. Happerford loathes him. Without going into too much detail, Subject F28 had his conscious molded to Dr. Happerfords and they've basically shared a mind for the past 20 years. Knowing Dr. Happerford's dedication to DC02 he knew he would attempt to test it again after the initial tests failed, and so he's spent the large majority of his life planning how to stop him if that time ever comes again. He knows he's the only person who can stop Dr. Happerford, so he's made that his mission. Overtime Subject F28 has come to terms with his fate and has accepted that he will never be able to return to his former life in his proper body, but he's a very diligent man and has a very resilient mind, so he's become very calm and wise over time. Even when put in a stressful or harmful situation, he keeps a certain level of composure and dependability. He is most definitely the guiding hand and moral compass of the story.
Audition Line 1:"Alen, I need you to come back to me. Focus on my voice, don't lose consciousness. This is important, I need you to stay with me or this will all be for nothing." (Should sound concerned but focused)
Audition Like 2:"So this is where we stand. Alen, you have to understand, this is something that's bigger than you, than me. This is something that has ruined countless lives and will continue to until this psychopath is stopped." (Should sound urgent and direct)
Audition Line 3:"Happerford, you need to stop dragging innocent people into this! Look, you had a good idea, you're right. Maybe with some more fixing and adjustments you could have gotten it functional. But this? This is just pure insanity. This can't go on any longer, you can't keep ruining peoples' lives like this!" (Should sound upset and urgent, but with that said he's trying to reason with Dr. Happerford in this scene so he shouldn't sound like he's trying to accuse him of anything)

The role for Alen was already chosen long ago, so I didn't include him in this. I guess another thing to add would be that the ages don't really have to correspond with the voice actors age; I'm sure there's probably not a whole lot of people in their late 40s on here so as long as you have a deep-ish voice it'll do.

sorry for the wall of text
