Hm.. have you tried this? It fixed it for me:

- Open model in Maya (or whatever you're using)
- apply texture in that programm (applying only the diffuse will be enough)
- save scene and export the .dae again from that scene
- import .dae into model editor again
(- if it is visible now, apply your .mat so you also have normal map and spec map)
