I think that most of the prisoners were innocent, thus unlawfully incarcerated.
Also, I would include in the charges:
- Cruelty to animals;
- Desecration of dead human bodies.
Considering the times, I don't think cruelty to animals was something that was really punished legally. I think the authorities would be too fixated on the cruelty to humans to even
notice the animals.
