The game can still possibly run with lower spec machines, but not as smoothly as hoped.

I don't understand this either. If they modify the engine in a way that changes how well the game runs, give us a demo so we won't be wasting money on stuff we can't run.

Make a horror game too long and you risk the player figuring out the AI and gameplay mechanics, thus diminishing the experience.

Hasn't been in since Overture and I'm glad for that. If you know it can be killed, it's not as scary.

They became a Too Awesome to Use item for me and I had loads of oil and tinderboxes by the end. If anything, I'm excited to see how they will handle the light/dark mechanics in AAMFP.
