Perhaps you're able to extract the texture from the skybox and create a fake one out of planes? Would give a great depth to each room as if they're in different dimensions or something. If not, you can just change the skybox temporarily using SetSkyBoxTexture when you enter/leave, so that you can use more skyboxes in different places of the map.
