I crawled under the stairs to the big doors in the cistern room, and got stuck there.

Added. By "crawled" you mean you were crouching? And what side of the stairs did you get stuck in? I'll update the details if/when you get back to me.

i cant even get the game to work, and my computer should be able to run it fine.

Don't know if you read the previous 7 or 8 posts, but someone else was having issues getting their game to run, too. This thread is for more generalized bugs; however, I'll link you to a few threads which may have a solution (which is probably a hardware compatibility issue):
