1. I think you've hit a pretty interesting point here. Psychopathy is more to do with personality than memory, there's no reason she should have been any less of a nutter just because she'd forgotten the previous week or two of her life. I think it's just a plot hole, to be honest.

Yeah. Apparently she did forget about her entire life though, but I still don't see how that turns her into a different person.

11: At the very beginning of the game you awaken in a cell with a suitor standing outside. Whether or not the suitor is supposed to have imprisoned you himself (which only raises further questions) or if he just peeked through the barred door on a whim, why doesn't he just bash the door in and kill Justine right there and then?

Hey, you're right! He might be blind, but Justine does this shriek when she wakes up, she gasps for air. And with the suitor's epic hearing, he must have heard that.

14: Why hasn't Clarice been fired for her blatantly negligent attitude towards the proper storage of potatoes? "Oh I'll just toss them into the corner of this dark, dank cellar crawling with rats, cockroaches and wheezing psychopaths. That'll be fine, I'm sure!" Yeah, no chips for me Clarice, thanks.

15: How did Justine time everything so perfectly? That is, her amnesia wears off right at the moment she's about to be crushed to death at the very end of her obstacle course. "This was the best one yet!"

No, the walls stop and she faints. When she wakes up, she has regained her memory, but as stated before, she might have been out for quite some time.

16: Is there any way of discerning which suitor was behind that inaccessible door in the library's projection room? You know, the one who kept whacking the other side of the door when Justine got too close to it?

That's Basile for sure. I assume he comes into the "potato room" through the locked door on the right hand, which leads to the barred door in the projection room. Architecturally it fits.

No. No, it doesn't. After you come out of the library, you go down a set of stairs. The doors you're thinking about are on a different floor. Unless you mean there's a staircase behind the locked door in the potato room, going up and having the door there. Then it would be possible.
I still agree with Basile though, since the other suitors are at different parts in the castle.

Also an interesting and intriguing point, and I came up with something today. Something always bothered me about them talking, so my conclusion is that they do not talk at all. Why, you ask? Listen closely when they speak. It does not sound like somebody is speaking. It sounds like telepathy, just like in The Dark Descent when Alexander was speaking to you or the servants, or whenever Daniel was thinking to himself or having a flashback. Daniel is able to receive some of the telepathic communications meant for the servants. "What, he escaped? Where is he now?" I believe this is because Daniel had touched and invoked the powers of the Orb.

That's interesting. Come to think of it, it DOES sound like Alexander! If you don't want to replay everything, feel free to check out the video, it has a lot of stuff in it.

@Diz: I'd recognise my own voice on a recording even if I hadn't spoken for months. Memories like that don't require revision. Then again, when anyone hears their own voice on a recording they always say "oh man, I don't sound like that do I??" so maybe that explains it - gramophones from the 19th century using wax cylinders must sound like a 4KB/s MP3 in terms of quality!
