I can't easily explain the creation of Brutes so they just entirely won't be in here. You'll see a person transform into a Grunt in front of your eyes because it is possible. However, a person randomly getting metal plates attached to their arms out of nowhere makes no sense.

Well I didn't mean that, but perhaps you could have a couple of them guarding the Grunt chamber? I've always viewed them as guards/soldiers compared to grunts anyway.
