RE: PewDiePie
I just read all 29 pages of this thread.
What... the... fuck?
These are my views (that means they are my opinions! They may actually differ from the one's you have! Amazing, right?!):
1a.) PewDiePie used to do great Amnesia Let's Plays. After recently completing Amnesia, I started watching his original playthroughs, and I did enjoy them. I looked at one of the recent Custom Story ones, and it was completely different. It's all filled with Stephano, barrels, and Mr. Chairs. It seems like he is acting now, which makes me sad. But, hey, most people when they become famous sway to please the majority (which makes sense, despite it leaving the minorities lonely).
b.) (Yes, this actually is an additional point to 1, since I am sure that some fanboy would come along telling me not to watch PewDie if I don't like some of his Amnesia videos now). I do enjoy the Happy Wheels videos. Being ridiculous during that seems normal to me (then again, the game itself is ridiculous).
2ai.) PewDiePie usually is not the problem; his hardcore fans are. If anyone says they don't like PewDiePie and actually back it up with a reason, the hardcore fanboys attack like hungry lions. They treat PewDie like a god! Hell, even when PewDiePie makes a simple post on this forum, you get random fanboys typing a message that confesses their love to him while orgasming at the computer. Everything usually has these types of fanboys, and they always are the annoying ones. (I don't mind the mild nonorgasming at every word fanboys, though.)
ii.) It also is annoying how the fans create garbage, jump scare maps just to hope and pray that you will play through it. When the number of decent maps becomes overwhelmed by crappy maps (and not even made bad accidentally), then there is a problem. I know some people prefer jump scare maps, but it seems like people make them not because they want to, but so PewDie will play it.
b.) Another problem is the hardcore haters. There is a difference between criticism and insults (as someone said before). Here is an example between the two: "PewDie, I hate you so much. You are an ugly bastard who screams like a girl and deserves to die and then be revived just to die again because you are so awful. You deserve to be wiped off the face of the Earth." is an example of an insult. "PewDie, you have changed. It seems that each Amnesia video you make is getting more annoying, due to the constant addition of the random naming of phony objects and what seems to be extreme exaggerations of your fear. You still have your funny moments, but it is hard to find them among all of the other things." is an example of a criticism. Do you see the difference?
3.) I've probably said this before, but... PewDie, despite how much you changed, you make me laugh at points, which is good. Still, it'd be awesome if even just for one video you acted normally again. I can't blame you for this, though, since it mostly is caused by the extreme fanboys and the extreme haters.
tl;dr
-PewDie can be good or bad; it depends.
-Hardcore fanboys, shut up.
-Hardcore haters, shut up.
-Stop being lazy and read for once.
