Problem Loading GUI in Amnesia

Solved: 8 Years, 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago Brick  Problem Loading GUI in Amnesia

Pretty much i cant press J TAB or ESC without lagging the game ALOT. It takes about 30 seconds to load 1 frame. im forced to leave Amnesia by CTRL ALT DEL my way out. i got the key for the wine cellar but its annoying cause i need to open the Inventory to get the key. Also I didnt have this Problem in the DEMO version. It worked perfectly.

I also used Can You Run It? it said i meeted the system requirements.

i have an ATI MOBILITY RADEON x700 Open GL 4.2 and DirectX 9.0c installed.



After a little bit of reaserch i figured its a problem loading the GUI. but how do i fix it? and how come it only works well on the demo?

Can You Run It doesn't reflect the truth. Don't trust it next time until you actually have a something installed on your system.
Amnesia uses OpenGL so it has nothing to do with DirectX

Try to lover the graphic options. Also it seems like you have some corrupted files. If you are using steam, please do a "verify integrity of game cache".

A x700 is below requierments to run the game. Seems there is something wrong with your installation, it can't find all files. Where is the game from?

it is non steam. i was going to buy a new graphics card some day. i also tried reinstallling but didnt help. Im also using the lowest graphics possible.

i also searchefd the files. i found Inventory.hps. i donno what is wrong with the hlp log.

btw to get the game to work, i had to delete BlackBox.dll. that may cause errors.
