Games Hang for no real reasons...

Ok well the game hang. It doesn'T crash.

One thing, i run Xorg so i don't understand why it try to start Xfree window...
I ran penumbra from a shell then killed it when it froze.

I have ubuntu 7.04 up to date. Nvidia 7900 gs.I installed the patch.
It happen frequently when i'm fighting with something is going to attack me.
Or when there is radio message.

It is very annoying because i need to restart X but the game is great so it balance. Oh and when it freeze the sounds is still working.

Please try the 1.0.679 patch and see if it fixes this issue.

As far as i can tell....
It didn'T crashed and i finished the game...

I believe i can see more particle effect than before.

Too bad i played 90% of the game with freeze...

One thing i can say is if you continue to make title like that. I really like the fact that you need to use the environment to kill beast. Etc...

Oh and by the way, i could list here some bugs.

When you race against the worms, you can walk trough him. There is no collision detection with him. By the way you can live long this way...

When you walk on the wood over the lake.
Some will go trough the ice without breaking the ice. But at the moment you move, the ice immediately break and you're dead.

The worst of all is that it looks like animals...-> dog
When you knock them down. It seems that our weapon are useless while they are on the ground. We have to wait to knock them again...

I knocked a dog in the corner of a box and it wasn't able to stand up... after 2 dynamite and 30 hit with the axe... And still alive I gave up.

But it is strange to me that you can't effectively attack a beast while it's on the ground...why can't i use the saw as a weapon?

Oh and the place with steam gas. We can walk on some pipe and go where there is a valve... I tough it was a way to stop the steam gas but realized there was no way out.

And finally Bravo for the AI of the dogs...Some times they act very strange. Like one time in the mines... there was 2 dogs... one trying to jump to get me on a box. While the other was just trying to bite me... And at a moment, he jumped over the second dog and killed me....

An other time, a dog jumped over a rock i had in my hand and killed me. Sometimes they look too much smart for dogs.

Very good game and nice patch... Thank you to every developers.
