The grunt must follow each pathnode on each step. Apparently, he cannot ascend or descend without a pathnode to follow on each step. You seem to have skipped the ones between 32 and 56.

Actually, the grunt ascended and descended the stairs before without ANY pathnodes. I added them after the grunt started getting stuck on the stairs. I was told by yourcomputer that I didn't have to add all the path to the script file, because he follows those automatically.

Its hard to see the truth when you've been blinded by lies.
