Main menu, want to take a clear shot. How?

Hello, I want to take a clear screenshot of the main menu's background. But to do this I want to get rid of the logo and the options to the right of the screen. I got rid of the logo temporarily so that's gone (I removed the .tga files), but what do I have to remove or edit the options? This is only temporarily.

Or you could just send me a picture of the background of the main menu for me.

By the way, I know I'm probably doing this in the most awkward way possible, so don't tell me

have you looked at the game files? Most in-game images are there in .jpg etc image formats.

Most of them are tga's which I can open with photoshop. But there are lots which are dds's and other strange formats that I don't know how to open. All I want to do is remove the right files which will get rid of the main menu buttons, or just make them invisible in some way.

I have tried looking for these (searching in the search box of windows explorer), but I really don't know what they would be called, I tried font, gui, menu etc

Do you know where the tga's are that control this? Or do you know another way?

I tried to find the actual background file, but I found out the guys made a map specifically for the menu :O (I opened it in level editor)

That's a plugin for PhotoShop to open DDS files, you can also google for 'tga to jpg(example)' converters

Lol, why did frictional games even need to make the pictures in such weird formats. There must be a reason, I'm curious.

I sure as hell found it! It was 4 dds files located in redlist/fonts/eng menu_01 and 00 and the bottom 2 also. I just changed them to a complete blank. Thanks guys.

EDIT: Nope! If I do that amnesia crashes! What do I do?

Nope it didn't. Any way to sorta, force start the game? Even though some of its files are missing?
