Comment etc. after a while you go blind looking at your own work. Will have to go back and rework once again, but it's already looking a lot better! Adrianis has been scripting some puzzles and gameplay - so might show some sort of trailer once we've got anywhere with that!

Figured I'd update this:

1080p available. Not sure about the doors, might just go with the ole good push and pull door. The doors are basically "holograms" of space, might do another type of hologram. Figured people in line for the toilet would be staring at the "pleasant" holograms instead of a door :]. Style-wise I'm not sure that it works though, the other parts of the area doesn't really go together with this futuristic touch. Speak your mind on it! On another note: Area looks great in game - video doesn't give it full justice ho ho.

(1) Are you using 2048x2048 UV for the door?

(2) About the video, the overall scale (Props, wall tiling, actual size) of the bathroom feels wrong.

(2a) Is that a door on the left side with the male/female sign? It looks so small, I thought it was a cabinet or a vent or something at first. I'm assuming it's the entrance/exit.

(2b) The wall tiling is really large, making the room feel small.

(2c) Lighting wise, yellow isn't very 'bathroom" friendly. Just pure white would be better, and the whole room should be reflecting all of that so it's even. Their are dark spots in the corners.

(2d) This is subjective, but I think the bathroom needs more geometry.

Just an example... The red one is more of a public area bathroom. The blue one might be a military style I suppose.
Some other minor props to add in (If you haven't thought about it) would be some mops + cleaning props, yellow wet and slip signs, baby changing thingy, and a couple of water drains on the floors.

The instant changing door texture is cool, already in use in some places in the world. But it's nice to see in a game. Smile

2) I'll have a look at scaling the things Big Grin The door is a placeholder from penumbra - so not anything making it into the final piece. As for other scaling things I'm thinking: Fix up the hologram door things (the projectors) - possibly scrap the idea, move the mirror slighly downwards, possibly decrease the size of the sinks. I'll try some variations on the tiling.

2c) I've sort of grown fond of the yellowish/orange light I have. The bathroom is (as I view it) a place for horror and borderline satanism - I want it grimy and scary hehe. Image of white light for reference:
2d) I'll definately build it larger! Thanks for taking the time to draw some blueprints! Next up for modeling would be water drains, hand dryer and slip signs : D
