It would also mean that it releases around the time when the nights are the longest...so we can start playing early in the evening! Big Grin

It would be great to play all night long, and then call in absent the next day for class/work for reasons of "suffering traumatizing experiences" Smile

Free advertisement is what I'm talking about. They would surely have sold way less copies of Amnesia without him getting tons of his fans interested in it - which in turn gave them the money needed to finance AMFP as well as their new, secret project. So in the end, everybody wins!
Now, could we maybe discuss AMFP again? Wink
Quote: I hope AAMFP will have something totally bizarre. Like a monster or scene.
Totally with you on this one. I hope there will be something in it that I couldn't have even imagined before. Maybe it could also be some sort of really surpising plot twist?
Personally, I hope for a really creative monster design. The thing with most monsters in games nowadays is that I always feel like I've seen them before.
Even the Amnesia monsters were more or less standard demon/zombie-like humanoid enemies when you think about it. It made sense in the context of the story of course! But I hope that AAMFP's story will allow for crazier designs. Something that even after you've seen it several times still makes you go "What IS that thing?"
On that first point your right.

The second point I do hope there is something bizarre in the game, something that is not human, like the dog, spiders, and the giant worm from Penumbra Overture. It scared the shit out of me when I saw those monsters.

Events in the game, also occur in the transition to the next year and a
century, so as not yet announced the release date and a date in 2013, it
is likely that the 31 December or 1 January, we will launch the game on
their PC. It's symbolic, right? That would be just amazing and
wonderful!
Not to be a hope breaker but that is a nice idea. However there is no evidence that suggests it would be released earlier than the expected time frictional games/thechinese room gave us. If AAMFP was on the steam store or frictional's online store for pre-order, then that would hint something.

What are the chances that the said person you would tell that, would misunderstand what you mean?

"Sorry sir, but I was butchered by the pig last night! So I was late from the work."

aamfp.com used to say that the release date was pushed back to early 2013 (previously it was Halloween 2012).
But looking at the page now, there is no release date mentioned. Also, the newest trailer just says 2013.

I remember seeing January 2013 mentioned in this thread (stated by one of the devs I think).

Yes, Jessica Curry said in one of her interviews that AAMFP would be released in January 2013.
