I'm guessing this is the slaughterhouse, and the other pictures are the interior.

Nah, Frictional is better than that. There is definitely will be good connection and reference to already built basis.
They're better than that? Well they wouldn't go in the other direction, since the purpose of most sequels is to out-do yourself, or improve upon/build upon the story, and who would want to see someone weaker/dumber than the previous antagonist?
It could very well be someone who decided to continue Alexander's work, or like the one post just said, more than one person... taking torture for vitae beyond the one/few at a time like in Amnesia

Yep, that photo could be where thousands have been tortured, bodies piling up so fast that they have a dozen furnaces burning up the corpses.

the style of the picture isnt really matching the style of the FG picture, by that i mean it looks like a completely different person made that picture.

I really don't think they're headed that way... One of the things you can see in all of Frictional's work is that everything is very subtle. For example, there's no where in Amnesia where you have like 5 monsters running at you at once. Instead you have the creeping around and occasionally running into you. That set up that you said sounds like a very front on approach, and I really don't see FG going that way with their next game. If you think about it really, there isn't any way to avoid a set up like that spiraling down into a bad action horror game where they try to shove scares in your face 24/7 and there isn't a second where you aren't witnessing some horrible event. I mean I'm sure it could be pulled off some how, but it just doesn't seem like Frictional's style at all.

Thank you for your efforts, everyone! I closely followed this thread, seems like you've figured it all out.

Now, back to waiting until Fall 2012.
