I really hope they don't draw such ugly and unreal monsters!!!
Yeah I remember this from ages ago. Been trying to find the link. Looks a bit odd to what they normally make. Looks underwater as well.

RE: [www.nextfrictionalgame.com] Amnesia Discussion

"Developed by thechineseroom and produced by Frictional Games, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is planned for a debut on PC later this year."

WHAT?
The developer of next Amnesia isn't Frictional Games anymore?
This game couldn't be good if it's true. It also means to have no HPL3 engine?
This clears up why they're working on an own unannounced project as same time.
But Amnesia without Frictional Games as developer, it's a shame!

Still need more information and I hope, the devs don't make a short game like Dear Esther was.
Lol, I'm actually really disappointed to read this!

Thanks for posting that article, Flamov. Can't wait to read the promised interview with FG and thechineseroom later today.

I'm pretty sure it's still using the HPL2 engine or a customized version because some tease images on nextfrictionalgame.com were put in a subfolder named "hpl2.1".

Uuugh, the Dear Esther devs, it's going to be a pretentious walking simulator, right?

Uh, so because they made one game every single one they make have to be like that?

Come on. It has the Amnesia name, it will obviously be close to what the first one was. I see nothing negative from this. We could a) have gotten no game at all or b) one developed by thechineseroom. It is kinda clear to me which one is better.

RE: [www.nextfrictionalgame.com] Amnesia Discussion

I mean, Frictional Games is irreplaceable.
They're unique in developing horror games, they can't get changed by an other developer!
The atmosphere, the physics, the immersing - all that is typical for them.
Maybe the next Amnesia will be even scary, but I really don't believe it will have the immersion and atmosphere like a game developed by Frictional.

And the short time to release worried me when the devs actually worked on Dear Esther.
Hope they will make dungeons very dark and not such bright caves like Dear Esther had.
I really doubt they would be able to make an immersing and atmospheric game like The Dark Descent or Penumbra series. In Short, only Frictional Games can do this.

I hope, I don't have right.

Exactly, that's my opinion.

We need puzzles and horror. Not a walking simulator.

It's not the smaller version, the other was the bigger one. Dodgy

It's not like Frictional games handed over the keys to the kingdom. They're still involved in the production. Let's wait and see some of the actual gameplay before we lose our heads.

Yeah, we need a short gameplay trailer.
