Not my specialty, so don't count on me contributing to this thread regularly.

Given I'm also a fan of Halo 1, I extracted the Grunts from said game and reformatted them (albeit as inanimate, audible statues) for Amnesia. In addition, I included modified Amnesia Grunts, who now have the voices of the Halo Grunts for the sake of laughs.

I certainly wish you luck with animating the Halo Grunts. I did attempt to export them with their extracted skeletons as well, going even as far as a student license of Maya (what Frictional Games apparently used for their animations) over Blender, only to see that merely including the skeleton would cause the model editors and viewers to crash. :/

Yeah, the animating process can be a real pain. If I can get them to work, I'll get back to you.

But yeah, if you think about it, if the Halo Grunts weren't so comical, they could fit in to a sci-fi version of Amnesia. Their elbows are bony spikes, for instance.
