The hinges are created in the HPL model editor.
If you mean the modeling of the hinges themselves, I can't help you there, Maya makes me sad.

Is it breakable?
or does it just disappear?

It is not a breakable door, I'd have to create seperate meshes for that, perhaps in the future.
