Tongue Blender Creating Monsters
Hi
I got used to blender and tried to edit servant brute.dae and I made changes to it....
And then I exported it as a .dae and I opened the Model Editor (ModelView Doesn't Work)
And tryied to import it as a mesh ,but it always crashes and in the log it says something about ccbone....
What am I doing wrong I tryied to create a normal box without Armature's and it worked but creating monsters doesnt work ???

Do I need to use something else to model monsters ?

Thanks Smile

Blender armatures are buggy. You're better off using Maya 2011.

Okay
Which is better Maya or 3ds max for creating things for HPL2 Engine
So Blender won't work at all with armature....should I get older version because I have 2.62

Used to be that there was this huge argument about which one was better, the truth is that they are both awesome at what they do, animation, modelling, etc..

But if they both are made by Autodesk ...
Then they should have a DIFFERENCE besides the name <.<

Blender 2.62 has better COLLADA support than the previous versions, but while you can get the model to not crash the HPL2 tools and game, getting the model to work like it does in Blender is almost futile. You could, though, export to OBJ and import it into Maya and then attempt to export it to DAE from there.

Well, if you still follow the arguments, Maya is better for animation, Max is better for modelling, but again it's irrelevant, they both have the same tools to do the same job, what does it matter?

Also, they never used to be made by the same company, Maya was never part Autodesk, they just bought them up like, 2-3 years ago, I'm not sure.

Also 3ds max has a problem with scaling. The models is huge when exported with 3ds max
