My LANG file stopped working....:/

Okay this may sound a little odd...but does the extra_english.lang have any issue with spelling errors?

English spelling errors with quotation marks around them - no.
Spelling errors in names for categories and entries - yes. (Case-sensitive too.)
Formatting spelling errors - YES. (Case-sensitive too.)
