Help! in OSX Leopard crashes when changing levels!
Well, that's somekind strange, but it happens when I try to get out of the room at the beginning of the game. I've read that the crashes when you change the level it's solved, but it happened. may be Leopard? Here is my log and my specs

CPU; Intel Core Duo

Speed; 2 GHZ

RAM; 512 MB

Video Card; Ati Radeon X1600

OS Version; OSX 10.5.1 "Leopard", Intel architecture

I hope this will be useful for you Smile

Can you paste the crash report that is generated when the game crashes?

Also can you provide a saved game and where you went to recreate the crash.

Another thing I ran across a similar issue JUST after upgrading to 10.5.1 on my macbook pro. But was unable to recreate the issue after I completely powered off and back on the system.

Developing away on one of
Mac Pro Dual 2Ghz, 7GB RAM, Snow Leopard, nVidia 8800 512MB.
Linux, 3-core AMD, 4GB RAM, Fedora 16, nVidia 450 1GB

I can't provide a save game because it doesn't save (maybe a save error?), I see the "loading" screen with the story, but when I click to proceed once loaded, the game justs quits. It's at the VERY beginning of the game, in the 1st room.

I'll try to repair permissions, then I'll give a chance. I'll tell you something

Oh.. You mean leaving the boat level?
Can you provide the crash log then?

You can find the crash logs in the Library/logs/CrashReporter Folder within your personal *home* directory.

Just attach the Penumbra.crash.log or PenumbraDemo.crash.log

SOLVED! it seemed to be a corrupt permission bug. But I send the 2 crash reports I've got. Thanks Big Grin

I had the same thing and the same fix worked for me (permissions). Although saying that it only crashed once before I repaired permissions so that's not definitive.

Urkle I'll PM you my logs from the crash and the permission repairs.

Should also mention I'm on 10.4.11 still.
