Custom Items and Props Help

Hi, I have a heap of entity props that i want to put in my custom story in a folder called entities. but when they are in there they don't show up in level editor. they only show up when they are in redist/entities but i want it in the custom stories folder for my cs. how do you do this? thanksSmile

Anybody? Any Answers will be appreciated I Can't Start Making My New Custom Story Until I Get These Custom Props working. there are 30!

Put the entity folder of your custom story into the main entity folder of amnesia

place down a random entity then click the change entity and go to your entity folder and click on the entity file Smile

That is not the problem he's having, I had the same issue a while ago.

His models are located in his entity folder, he can place them in the editor and play just fine.
However if he removes them from his entity folder and only has the ones left in the Custom Story folder they will not appear while playing the custom story.

I believe this issue is the same as the one he mentioned else where.

The game doesn't find things by absolute paths or by paths relative to the folder where the Amnesia binary executable is found in (for custom story files). The game relies on the resources.cfg file and the directory that the custom story configuration was found in. Removing them from the entities folder shouldn't matter so long as they are stored somewhere in his custom story's folder.

Like Your Computer said. To say it easy, and to let it work.
When editing your story, you need it in the 'entities' folder in your game. Create a folder Custom and put it in there. Then after you edited the story and it's all done. Create a folder called 'entities' in your Custom Story folder and put the folder 'Custom' in there. And done, it works in-game.
