Here's a new log file. Game was lagging pretty badly. The log file size exceeds the attachment size limit on these forums, so I've put it in pastebin instead:

Way to many errors. You need to update your graphics card drivers, reinstall the game and check file integrity check afterwards. Also, and this is important, if you have already stated a game and then updated the game, the old saves do not work and produce such lags and errors.

As suggested, I updated my GPU drivers to the latest version again, reinstalled the game, did the file integrity check, but I still get a huge list of errors.

At first I did, but then I started a new game, actually. Would starting a new game /after/ playing with original save files still cause such errors?

I don't understand the question. If it is the saves, then everything will be fixed by starting a new game. Basically, older version save games are not compatible with newer game updates.

Ah, I thought this implied that loading old saves somehow messes the game up 'permanently'. In any case, I first played under an old save file briefly, and then started a new game. The game started lagging within roughly 15 minutes.

Any further ideas on what I could still try?

Go to Documents and rename the folder Amnesia to Amnesia_OLD. Then start a new game and see if that helps.

Error log is just as huge as before. Didn't seem to make much of a difference, sadly.
