Geany not putting in the right syntaxes

When I put "" In geany i get ¨¨. I tried pressing SHIFT + CTRL but it didn't fix it.
Help?

Geany changes the " symbol to
¨ <--- Those little dots there.

Yes, I have, and in Notepad++ it works fine.

Try deinstalling geany, deleting all of its folders and installing again...might work.

I found a bug report on the issue. Workaround listed is to change keyboard layout. Maybe someone in the Geany IRC can help you.
