Amnesia crashes before loading

Solved: 8 Years, 1 Month ago Amnesia crashes before loading

When I launch Amnesia, I get a dialogue box that says FATAL ERROR: Renderer #0 could not be initialized! I run Windows 64bit and haven't had any problems like this before with games like TF2, Half Life 2 etc

I did read the stickys and the solutions didn't work properly the first time, so I'm trying once more.

The driver update files must have gotten corrupted somehow the first time around. After trying a second time I got it to work, so no no need for further assistance.
