I used to play Spore... But then I got tired of all the childishness in it... If it were more like the Alpha version of spore I'd still play the fuck out of it every single day.

Well it was generally more realistic. It had more stages (for example sea stage) It was much more of a survival... If you were a predator. You would need to drag your victim's body to somewhere safer to eat. Because you could be attacked by larger predators yourself... Also there were no "nests" and you weren't suppose to "sing" horribly to other critters for whatever fucking reason.

That... that actually sounds like a game I'd love! Damn, why did they have to ruin it? Big Grin

RE: Spore, anyone?

Two things...

1: EA is stupid.

2: Because they wanted to focus their game to children rather than everyone (probably due to point 1). There is even a version of spore specifically designed for 4-6 year old which is just the creature maker thing (not the mention the Wii version as well).

In the end I see Spore as the wasted potential of something great. Sure they had a lot of success when it came out. But seeing EA focusing solely on kids makes me think they went full retard on their own policies. If they've made Spore a more realistic game (much more like how it was originally envisioned) everyone would more easily be interested on the damn thing, and would surely attract a lot more players whit different gameplay tastes. Even freaking COD kids could be interested in it because you can drag you prey to your lair! what game can say that? isn't that a action kid's freaking wet dream? I can say it was mine once!

You said that a game that Corinthian obviously loves a whole lot is childish and aimed toward 4-6 year olds (lol) and then said that the game had a ton of potential but they fucked it up and made it terribad.
