Walls blinking
I bought Amnesia some time ago but i never could play the game because of a bug, a strange bug. The wall and illumination of the game are blinking. Like the transparency of the textures(or models i dont know)are set On and Off every, let's say 0.10 seconds. It's horrible. I really want to play the game but i can't! I run on a Ubuntu 12.04 with Intel HD 3000 and with S3TC functional, so i don't think that is it.

RE: Walls blinking
Hello
I have a acer ao756 with a SOC (system on chip) Pentium B987 + Intel HD Graphics that is based on the HD Graphics 2000 and Lubuntu 12.10.

When I run Amnesia walls blink.
Closing the window a strange rectangle appears in the upper left of the screen. The windows are not drawn on this rectangle and only displays the desktop.

This made me think the driver error and googling a bit I found:

https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa

I updated the drivers to the beta version:
"
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
"

Reboot and the game looks perfect now.
Although the mysterious rectangle still appears xD I will report on the Ubuntu forums.

Thank you for this game and make it work in linux.

greetings

Now, the walls barely falsh only when initally going into a room an some of the items on the wall flash, as for me i run an ASUS laptop with a 4x Intel® Core™ i3-2350M CPU @ 2.30GHz; OpenGL Renderer of Mesa DRI Intel® Sandybridge Mobile and I think i should be able to run it, I've been looking for the HPL.log file, but to no luck.
I've bought the game twice- waiting for a refund on desura!!! -and once on steam, which loaded, an installed! Big Grin

an then this happened... fudge-nutting-cake-chewy. anyway, a little help in finding the HPL.log for steam or equvialent would be night an greatly appreciated, i've starter troubleshooting as far as i can get, i'm going to bed now.

PS: I run through Linux Mint 14 a close cousin of ubuntu
