Terror music continues?

I've noticed that in a lot of custom stories, when you run away from an enemy the terror meter sound continues in the background, and this can get extremely annoying. This has recently happened to a map I've been working on as well. What is the cause of this?

Ckeck your walls and stuff. If you have complicated structure in your level the monster might see you though the walls.
