End of an Era?

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this question was answered in the machine for pigs thread but there was nearly 300 pages and i'm a slow reader as it is xD

Anyway I was wondering with the release of Machine for Pigs around the corner (Presumably) will there be a new version of HPL2? Will our Dark Descent maps open in this new editor or will there be missing props errors etc?

I have no idea if anyone on the forum will really know the answer to this, unless someone from Frictional reads it but they probably aren't discussing it yet. However, another question - Assuming MFP releases and has mod tools with it, how likely do you think it is that people will still continue to play TDD mods to the popularity that they do now?

RE: End of an Era?

As I have understood it AMFP will be run on HPL2. Probably some new functions, as with justine - but no new engine. Mods will probably run perfectly fine on it.
