Hi, I would like to know if SSAO shadows are mostly rendered by CPU or GPU. When I played Amnesia for the first time, I had a Phenom II X2 550BE and a Geforce GTX260. Now I upgraded my cpu to a Phenom II X4 965BE and it seems that the game is a lot smoother, expecially with video options to maximum requirements. To add some details, I can say that I played all Frictional Games on Fedora Linux :-)
There are games that are very sensible to CPU speed rather than GPU, I am curious to know what about Amnesia Smile

By the gpu, maybe your previous processor was bottlenecking your graphics card

So is Amnesia high optimized for parallel calculus on CPU cores?

When I had to low some SSAO settings, I tought it was a GPU slowness, instead it was the CPU bottleneck :O
