How to change screenshot quality and or format

There are times when I'd really use lossless grabs, usually PNG. Is there a way to alter Amnesia settings so that F8 key grabs screenshots in PNG format instead of JPG? If not then maybe how to alter the quality the JPG images are being saved?

The main_settings.cfg allows you to change the screenshot extension. In Windows, that would be found in Documents/Amnesia/Main; in Linux, ~/.frictionalgames/Amnesia/Main.

It doesn't seem to contain a setting for screenshot quality (compression level) for the jpg case. It looks like it's permanent. It shouldn't be a problem though when we have PNG option available https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Compa...nd_PNG.png

Download FRAPS.
It is for free..
And there are options in there.
Check out google for it and try it out.

No. The sshot taking feature of amnesia is not system-specific.

I figured I won't start a new topic just to ask this question related to the OP - How to change screenshot location? My Desktop folder is filled up with Amnesia screenshots. I've searched everywhere and no *.cfg file seem to contain a "/Desktop" string.
