Can only make folderns and I can't "edit" text files inside my custom story

Hello.
I have a really annyoing error.
Whenever I try to edit like a .hps file I have to first edit it on Desktop, then move it in to the custom story folder. If I open it and try to save the file it says: "Make sure that the file isn't open somewhere else." and I know it isn't.

Oh, and I can only make folders. That's the only option I have when right clicking and "New"

Help please?

Managed to fix it by chaning permissions on the Amnesia main folder for my user
