Err, not1; HPL1 is the engine that powers Penumbra. You get it when you buy penumbra.
It isn't open sourced, so don't expect to do amazing things with it. I'd suggest searchign the forums for modding topics, but that's too far advance for you.

Ah, this is exactly what I am looking for. Not too advanced, I do have experience with Basic and C++, just need to know all about HPL1.
