a weird monitor problem

hi there,i have a weird monitor problem..
when i try to play any of the battlefield games,it can't start!
with battlefield 1942 everything goes smooth except the monitor- it's like burning up inside changing colors..
i tried battlefield 2142,but that doesn't even do anything! no sound and just a black screen.

can anyone help on this please?

How old is it..? Maybe you need to buy a new one...?

If the problem doesn't appear in Windows then it's not monitor fault.
It might be your driver, try downloading newest driver.

Remember that old games might not work correctly on newest graphic cards.

The problem is inside the monitor probably, but I can't realize how can the monitor affect the game???
