Hello there everybody. Recently I got Amnesia from the humble bundle but sadly the game doesn't run well. That I find very odd because before purchasing the bundle I torrented the game to see what it was about and if it was worth getting it and it ran smoothly with 60fps. I think the issue lies with the video device it chooses. It chooses my CPU instead of my GPU, or is it supposed to choose my CPU?

Anyway here's a short overview on my specs

OS: Win7
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 540
CPU: Intel Core i5-480M
Ram: 6GB DDR3

I'm not very tech savvy so I could be completely wrong with my guess. I checked out the tech section guides for a solution but everything seems ok. Please help me out here, I really wanna play the game. Sad

You can use the Nvidia control panel to specify which card a game should use in cases where the auto selection fails.

It's set on the Nvidia card by default. Even when I choose it manually the problem still occurs.

Make sure both your Nvidia and Intel HD drivers are fully updated to the latest versions from the official sites so that Nvidia Optimus can work without issues.

They are all updates but the issue remains.

They are not. I can see it from the log that the Intel HD one is not current. Use the have disk method to update the Intel HD card. As far as Nvidia goes, what driver version do you have installed?

Btw, a demo has always been available. No need to pirate the game. Just saying...

Right click Amnesia > Run with graphics processor > High-performance NVIDIA processor

It has to do with your operating system/settings then. It works just fine for everyone else. Maybe try setting all Nvidia control panel settings to default.
