RE: More input needed on CS update!

Solution 2, even if there are mods with a lot of custom models, at last it won't break the main ones. If there was any story that was broken, an unofficial patch could be released to fix them (If Through The Portal was broken, for example, I could fix some broken models and release an unofficial patch)

Personally, I find it less agressive, but that's just me.

Or solution 1 could be good too, always that the problematic main models were updated.

Solution one. I think it would be good to make a poll of this.

EDIT: I've rarely used custom models on my stories. So this
solution seems more legit to me.

I've voted. Everyone should do the same.

Added a poll as well. I'll take both the majority vote and any arguments for either side into consideration, so please also post why you feel one solution s better than the other as well. Smile

Whichever is quickest and easiest for your guys. I'd be more than happy to edit old files if it means we get the assets quicker.

Creator of Wake, Through the Portal, Insomnia, and Cycles What to do with HPL3....

+1.

And also, this question's intended for the members at FG, but others can answer too.

Is it possible to use the lamp from AMFP without creating a Full Conversion? I remember the flashlight didn't work unless you did an FC.

RE: More input needed on CS update!

I voted #1 because although I love backward-compatibility, I don't like workarounds and that's what #2 consists in doing all along, while the other solution consists in a single fix across all mods.

How will FG do that? Make an announcement to leave enough time for authors to fix their CS?

(Edited: sorry I flipped the numbers around. I was supporting #1.)
