It's the same game but you use the Novint controller to play the game instead of a mouse, http://www.novint.com. In short it gives you tons of really cool realistic interaction features, read more about the haptx versions of Penumbra here:

http://haptx.com/games/Requiem/index.php

or better watch a video of it Wink http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mW70elK9Yrs its a bit old, the black plague edition has many new features not in the overture version.

And there 's a patch v1.2 for Penumbra Overture.
Is it only for HaptX-Edition?

The latest official patch is v1.0.3.

Can I use the patch v1.2 for the normal edition too?

Ah then maybe overture has some of the nifty effects they created for black plague as well after installing that patch.

The patch is haptx specific and all fixes and changes it makes are haptx specific.

They really look nice, gave Penumbra some pretty nice advertising there aswell. I'm guessing it's costy though.

Worst regards, Kejdane.

RE: HaptX-Edition of Penumbra
did they? it sounded like he said "don't even bother buying the penumbra series without this device." maybe I heard wrong.
it may be fun to try, but it looked like it was 200 dollars. understandable, but i just don't know.

You'll have to buy a specific version of Overture to work with HaptX. But I think that in some countries, some stores or so there is a Novint Falcon that can be bought and it comes with a free copy of Overture among other games, but not sure how widely available it is.

RE: HaptX-Edition of Penumbra
sort of being sarcastic, but when you rotate an object in Black Plague/Requiem, does your physical hand rotate as well?
more so serioues, how does that work then? do you even feel anything?
