CTD on launch

Hi! I actually have to take a second and say, thank you guys for letting me post on the forum without registering. Quite frankly, I wasn't sure if I should be bothered to take another shot at the game!

That said, when I originally purchased Amnesia, I played it on a completely different computer than the one I have now. When I recently installed the game, I found I couldn't launch it without a CTD.

I hope this log helps. I poked through it earlier and it told me I didn't have the correct version of DevIL installed - I dropped that into my Amnesia folder, and it's no longer giving me that error in the log, but I'm still not getting anywhere, and I have no idea what gives.

What's a CTD? Either way, the problem is most probably caused due to plugged in gamepads, controllers or their software/drivers running in the background. It's a temporary issue of the latest v1.3 update. Either unplug your controllers and stop their software from running in the background or try this:

Crash-to-desktop.

That did fix the issue for me, thanks, but I already had everything unplugged, although apparently my keyboard is a 'gaming device' and not a 'keyboard' AFAIK, so that may have caused the issue?

Probably, either that or it's software.
