Penumbra Collection Won't Start - Unable to Initialize Display

I just installed the Penumbra Collection today, and none of the 3 games will start. Here is the error for Overture:

Also try running
ulimit -c unlimited
And re-running Penumbra and try and recreate the error
then submit the generated core file or stack trace

Vital statistics:
Ubuntu 9.10 x64
ATI Radeon 5850 w/ Catalyst 9.12 proprietary drivers
ia32-libs installed (should take care of all 32-bit dependencies)
resolution normally @ 1920X1080 (I did try setting it to 800x600, same error)

Anyone know what's up or how to fix it?

Driver reinstall seems to have fixed everything. *facepalm*
