DevIL.dll is not a valid Windows image

I just downloaded the demo, and I'm getting an error message on trying to start the launcher. It says "The application or DLL C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\amnesia the dark descent demo\DevIL.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."

I've downloaded DevIL.dll from their website and I'm still getting the same error message. I have no log to post, and the render test runs fine and has no issues.

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling and see if that helps.

Steam has a function to verify the game cache, try that.
