undetected video card causes crash on game start?

I get the attached error after a nice fresh install via steam - before launching the little configuration window says it doesn't recognize my video card (which is an nvidia geforce 8800gtx) - I'm going to try updating the drives, and I'll edit this post if that works.

*edit* - that worked! maybe consider adding a reminder to update graphics card drivers when the confiuration thing in the beginning doesn't recognize the card?
